Introducing the New and Improved Ecogate Power Master
Today we are excited to officially announce the next generation of one of the key components of our intelligent dust collection control system, the Power Master Variable Frequency Drive.
The new Power Master was developed together with industry-leader ABB, and represents another link in Ecogate’s tradition of making state-of-the-art, technologically sophisticated products that are easy to setup and use.

The new Power Master takes advantage of ABB’s Adaptive Programming feature, which lets us customize and extend the drive’s functionality for our specific application. This means that the Ecogate system will continue to control the speed of the fan to achieve optimal energy efficiency, and also automatically start and stop the dust collector for you.
The new Power Master features an easy-to-use keypad with a high-contrast screen for easy configuration.
Using factory-programmed Ecogate presets along with ABB’s high contrast control panel and intuitive keypad, configuring the drive on-site is a straightforward process.
Other innovative features of the drive include a unique flange-mounted design, which separates the heat generated by the drive from the drive’s controls, and a variable-speed cooling fan which extends the fan life while ensuring excellent temperature control.
All drives come in NEMA-12 dustproof enclosures, are UL certified, and are manufactured in the USA.

What does it mean for you?
Ecogate systems have always been designed with an install-it-and-forget-it attitude in mind – once the system is in, it works fully automatically, ensuring excellent dust collection together with optimal energy efficiency. How does the new Power Master fit in?
It means that new Ecogate systems will be even easier and faster to install, setup, and modify when any changes are made to the machinery in the factory.
The new Power Master is fully compatible with Ecogate’s intelligent control units, including the greenBOX Master, greenBOX NXT, greenBOX 12, as well as the legacy greenBOX PRO.
We have been gradually introducing the new Power Masters in 2016, and are happy to say that we now have these drives installed in a number of factories in the US, Canada, and Mexico, and all are performing perfectly.
