Connecting greenBOX Cables by Using Conduits

Using Conduits with greenBOX Nxt, Max, and Master

Conduit fittings are sometimes required when installing an Ecogate system in secure facilities—such as prisons, schools, or military sites—where open cable runs may not be allowed.

To support these installations, all greenBOX control units come with pre-drilled holes designed for ¾” conduit connectors, located on the bottom of the enclosure.

When not in use, these conduit holes are sealed with silicone plugs to maintain enclosure integrity.

Important Installation Note

The greenBOX is not an electrical panel. Do not drill additional conduit holes in the enclosure.

Creating new holes can introduce metal shavings into the cabinet, which may cause shorts in the power supply, interface board, or NUC computer motherboard.

This kind of modification voids the product warranty.

If your installation requires more conduits than the unit supports, mount the greenBOX inside a larger electrical cabinet, and route your conduits into that enclosure instead.

greenBOX Nxt: Cable Capacity and Port Layout

When conduits are required for a greenBOX Nxt, both silicone plugs must be removed to allow for the installation of two ¾” conduit connectors.

Each ¾” conduit can accommodate up to four Ecogate Master cables, though the greenBOX Nxt itself includes only three Modbus ports.
