Hawkeye Current Sensor

Hawkeye Current Sensor

SKU: EG.H608

Simple and convenient to use, a current sensor allows you to monitor the phase wire without needing to connect anything to the workstation. This sensor offers precise control and monitoring without the need for complex installations or additional cables.

  • Product Description

Our Current Sensor is a versatile solution that can be used on simple tools like a chop saw or on industrial machines equipped with a VFD. One of the primary advantages of this sensor is that it does not need to be connected to the workstation; it only requires a phase wire to the motor through the sensor opening, making it simple and efficient to install. The sensor sensitivity can be adjusted for a current of 0.5 - 175 A, making it suitable for motors ranging from 0.5 HP and up.

Our workstation activity sensors are essential components of an efficient industrial ventilation system. Designed to detect when a workstation needs dust/mist/fume collection, these sensors signal the gate and control system, initiating the ventilation process. We recommend using one of our versatile and reliable sensors, including the Ecogate AC-DC Volt Sensor, capable of detecting input from 24-230V AC or DC, the Ecogate AC Volt Sensor, which detects input from 110-690V AC, or the Hawkeye Current Sensor, which reads current to the cutting motor. To override the Volt or Current sensor, we offer the convenient Shut-off Timer Switch, which can be set up to 60 minutes, making it ideal for cleaning workstations after a shift.

  • User Guide

    When To Use Current Sensors

    • If you do not want to connect any wire to your workstation.
    • If you use a sensor at the AC output of the VFD.
    • If you install sensors at the electrical panel (recommended only for simple workstations with single motor).

When Not To Use Current Sensors

    • It requires sensitivity settings, and testing it; some do not have enough patience/time to read how to do it and test it.
    • With sensitivity adjustments and tests it will take longer to install the current sensor.
