AC/DC Volt Sensor for Ecogate On-Demand Dust Collection System

AC/DC Volt Sensor

SKU: EG.319

Versatile and reliable, our most commonly used sensor can be connected to AC or DC voltage in the 24V to 230V range.

  • Product Description

Our versatile Volt Sensor is designed to work with both AC or DC voltage ranging from 24 to 230 V AC, making it ideal for a variety of industrial applications. The output is easily connected to the Ecogate gate using the Ecogate Sensor cable, while the input can be connected in parallel to the cutting tool motor of the workstation or to any circuit that is energized when the cutting tool is running, such as a switch, contractor, or PLC output.

Our workstation activity sensors are essential components of an efficient industrial ventilation system. Designed to detect when a workstation needs dust/mist/fume collection, these sensors signal the gate and control system, initiating the ventilation process. We recommend using one of our versatile and reliable sensors, including the Ecogate AC-DC Volt Sensor, capable of detecting input from 24-230V AC or DC, the Ecogate AC Volt Sensor, which detects input from 110-690V AC, or the Hawkeye Current Sensor, which reads current to the cutting motor. To override the Volt or Current sensor, we offer the convenient Shut-off Timer Switch, which can be set up to 60 minutes, making it ideal for cleaning workstations after a shift.

  • User Guide

    When To Use Volt Sensors

    • A wide range of input voltages allows it to be used for almost every workstation, making it the most common sensor.
    • The Volt sensor does not need any adjustments.

When Not To Use Volt Sensors

    • If you have a new machine and connecting anything to it could risk voiding the warranty.
    • Input to the Volt sensors is often 120V or 240V, or even 600V AC - this requires a certified electrician to install it.
    • Do not use the VOLT sensors on the AC output of the VFD.
